ABOUT GREYSTONES CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Greystones Children's Choir is a new initiative set up by local, professional musicians Aoife O'Connell and James Bingham.
It will run on Saturday mornings in Charlesland Community Centre from 10am to 11.30 am, starting in September 2019.
Aoife O'Connell, originally from Greystones, is an operatic soprano and singing teacher. She has many years experience as a singer, particularly in education projects, working with companies such as Irish National Opera, Opera Ireland, Opera Theatre Company, Opera North, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Iford Arts. She has worked as a teacher and animateur for many years as well as setting up outreach projects in the UK. See more at www.aoifeoconnell.net

James Bingham is a conductor, animateur and producer. He has been described by the Sunday Times as ‘unashamedly messianic’ about classical music inclusion and accessibility. He currently works full time for Irish National Opera as their Studio and Outreach Producer. James also blogs at senseofpitch.com. James' previous experience includes conductor of Opera North Children's Choir, conductor of Brighton Festival Youth Choir and assistant conductor for the National Children's Choir of Great Britain.
James and Aoife have recently moved back to Greystones from the UK and are wanting to give the children of Greystones an opportunity to produce high quality music in a fun and challenging environment.
